Ukraine Relief  -  April 2022

Friends,

Here's a short update from Pastor Marian Paduret in Romania regarding their church's relief efforts for the people of Ukraine.  I want to thank you for your prayers and support of Marian's ministry outreach.  Please continue to lift Holy Trinity Church, Pastor Marian, and all his congregation in your prayers along with the people involved in this terrible war in Ukraine.

Greetings from Bacau

Just a short update from last week.

We was able to have a new transport of aid, mainly food that we buy it from Romania and medicine that we buy it from Romania too. We also had a donation from a pharmaceutical company of insulin . They give us a big box of insulin for the people in Ukraine. Very valuable.

We deliver the aid this time directly to a place where was need it. This time we did not unload in Cernauti, but we drive about 100-110 km from the border to a village where was the need for help. The interesting fact is the history of the baptist church from the village that we use as a  center for distributing the aid. The church was build in 1920 and in 1945 when the Russians come after the second world war, the Communist party took the church and convert it into  a club. It stay as a club until 1991 when the Russians had to leave Ukraine and the Ukraine government give the church back to the believers and the believers convert the building in the church again. For us was special to be able after we unload  to go in the church and sing and pray for the Ukrainian team and for the distribution of the aid.

We also had a donation of meet cans and food from the military base in Bacau , for the Ukrainian solders. We visit a outpost of the army and talk, pray with the solders and deliver aid. It was special to encourage the solders, talk with them see how they feel all this situation  and see the hopes and dreams for the futures.

Also last week we pay for the trip of 2 vans full with aid that went to Kiev into the city for the first time. We had 2 Ukrainian drivers from Cernauti that did the trip. They go into Kiev on a back road and went out on the main road after was clear by mines. All good, the aid arrive in a church in Kiev and had been distributed right-away.

After such adventure we drive back to Romania, arrive save but late , was a long trip.

This week we plan a new trip also.

For pictures and videos, you can fallow us on the social media where we post from time to time.

Keep us in your prayers .

Marian Paduret
